Diani Beach feels like a mix of Mazatlan, Africa & Europe. You will find local crafts for sale as well as pushy salespeople on a beach walk. Alfajiri offers a garden retreat off the beaten path of this busy area.

Considered by many as the finest Villas on the East African Coast, Alfajiri Villas overlook the Indian Ocean and their elevated positions ensure privacy and stunning views. These are African style villas where the theme is high Makuti roofs, ivory Danish floors, wooden beams, Lamu doors and impressive African and Far Eastern Artifacts. Most of the furniture is made on the property in the villa's workshop. The gardens are meticulously maintained and include many palms from the villa's nursery. Large verandas with huge hand carved sofas with cushions dominate the front of the villas where a stretch swimming pool sits on the edge of a small cliff merging into the sea and the horizon.

Consisting of only three villas, the Cliff Villa, Beach Villa, and Garden Villa, this exclusive hideaway is a truly 5 star end to a spectacular East African safari. At the Cliff Villa, 8 guests can be accommodated in 4 bedrooms all en-suite. There is a dining room, kitchen, lounge and a large veranda over looking the Indian Ocean. At the Beach Villa, guests have 2 luxuriously appointed double bedrooms with their own bathroom. One of them overlooks the Indian Ocean, and the other the overflowing swimming pool. All rooms have mosquito net, the 4 rooms in the Beach Villa have NO air conditioning. The Garden Villa houses 8 guests in 4 large luxuriously appointed double bedrooms each with their own large bathroom; all rooms overlook the Indian Ocean. The rooms are air-conditioned with split-level units and mosquito nets. Guests at Alfajiri have exclusive use of the Villa and the pool. No other guest, belonging to another group, will be booked at the same time.

Fresh seafood is brought daily to order from the beach and includes some of the best crab, prawns, lobster, octopus and sea fish available. The food at Alfajiri is very light with a Mediterranean influence with oils, Parma ham and some cheeses are flown in weekly from Europe. The salads and fresh vegetables come daily from local farms and the fruit is hand-picked from trees and bushes around Diani.

Golf is the latest inclusion at Alfajiri. Guests will enjoy unlimited golf inclusive of green fees and use of golf clubs. The 18-hole championship golf course, home to the Diani Beach Masters, is only a few minutes away. Other activities included are snorkeling to the coral reef with local fishermen, using a traditional African boat, massages and reflexology, a vehicle for local excursions within Diani, beach area, tennis, squash and a gym at a nearby property.
