Cape Heritage offers guests a great value for a nice boutique hotel. We use it frequently with good feedback. Being an older property, we have heard that the walls are a bit thin, but not enough to be a large bother. — Mango's view

Originally built in 1771, the hotel has 15 individually decorated bedrooms that not only retain the charm of the past but are also equipped with the ultimate in modern comforts. The centerpiece of the hotel is the courtyard, around which five renowned and independent restaurants provide great food in a vibrant atmosphere.Luxury Rooms are individually decorated and designed to retain the original architectural style. The floorboards are Cape Yellowwood and burnished hardwood, cut by hand and painstakingly laid down over 200 years ago. Meanwhile, sash windows reach up to high-beamed teak ceilings, and the original wall plasterwork has been preserved to showcase the original workmanship. Amenities include extra length king size beds, a selection of pillows, en-suite bathrooms, most with separate walk in shower, satellite TV and DVD players with free DVD hire, air conditioning and heating, international power points, safes and fully stocked mini-bars, and free wireless internet access.The hotel is surrounded by five independent restaurants, each offering something unique. Caveau is a lively wine bar and deli. Strega offers informal Italian cuisine and is known as a good value. Savoy Cabbage serves eclectic International cuisine. Africa Café is famous for its huge variety of African dishes. Finally there is the Ponana Bar, always one of the liveliest night spots in Cape Town.There are many things to see during your visit to Africa's most cosmopolitan city.
