Kicheche Safari Camp

Kicheche Safari Camp is a tradtional luxury tented camp set in the heart of the Masai Mara NR. Unfenced and secluded in a thicket of Euclea and African Olives, the camp impinges so little on the natural inhabitants of this prolific reserve that your safari is enhanced by the animals that wander through the grounds at any time unperturbed.

The camp prides itself on offering a friendly and relaxing stay, with the camp hosts treating you as welcome guests, not mere travel statistics. To maintain this intimate and relaxed atmosphere there is a maximum of twenty two guests at any time. Each tent is comfortably furnished with an en-suite bathroom and flushing toilet, low wattage lighting is supplied 24 hours. The majority of the tents are in secluded positions overlooking the plains and nearby hills. The spacious Nyati tent acts as the camp lounge with comfortable seating, a library, board games, cards and local crafts.

The camp chef produces delicious and healthy meals, and the menu features both African and international dishes. Fresh produce is flown in regularly and bread and pastries are baked daily. In-camp meals are taken al-fresco whenever possible when guests may sit at the communal table with their hosts, or are welcome to dine alone.

Activities include morning and late afternoon game drives in custom 4x4 vehicles that ensure all guests have a perfect view. A different perspective is gained through escorted walks on the savannah. Safety is paramount when leaving camp on foot so all walks are escorted by an armed interpretive guide who will help guests enjoy the environment from the unique perspective. Local village and school visits are also available.
