Lake Victoria Hotel

While this is a large, old colonial hotel - it is our 'go to' in Entebbe. Centrally located minutes from the airport on Lake Victoria, it has a few restaurants and an Olympic size swimming pool. There is nothing really very well done at the hotel, but it provides travelers a needed place to sleep.  — Mango's view

Lake Victoria Hotel, one of the oldest and most regal hotels in Uganda, is located only 4 km from the Entebbe airport.

The hotel offers 72 executive rooms, 20 standard rooms, 6 suites and 1 presidential suite. There is also a swimming pool, a health club and conference facilities. There are established, well maintained gardens, among the 9 acres of grounds.

From the premises, guests have a view of natural landscapes and the magnificent Lake Victoria. Those with a little time to explore can take a few hours to visit the nearby Entebbe Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Kampala, a sprawling city of 2 million, bustles with African life, and is only 34 km away. You can schedule a driver to take you to see the city. There is fun shopping at the National Theater outdoor shops and vibrant images of bananas and vegetables to photograph in the markets.
