The guiding feels a bit military in style and this can detract from the otherwise lush environment. The common area feels like a hunting camp with stuffed heads everywhere. This colonial air can be a turn off to some.
Main Camp is really tired and there is rumor of it being completely rebuilt in the near future.

Mala Mala is located in the game-rich Sabi Sands Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park and offers exceptional "Big Five" game viewing and photographic safaris. Seated around a log fire, under the starry African sky, enjoying superb food and outstanding South African wines is yet another highlight of the Mala Mala experience.
The lounge leads onto a large wooden deck that provides elevated views of animals watering in the Sand River. There is a swimming pool, room service, a complimentary laundry service, wine cellar, bush gym, bar and safari boutique at Main Camp.
