MANGO AFRICAN SAFARIS

Livingstone, Zambia

Royal Livingstone

This is our favorite hotel for visiting Victoria Falls. While large in size and feel, the location is ideal; a 5 minute walk from the Zambian National Park side of the falls. The rooms are very comfortable and their activity center can help to organize all of the optional excursions in Livingstone.  — Mango's view

Victoria Falls is a site that no visitor to Southern Africa should miss. Local tribe's people describe it as 'mosi o tunya' or the smoke that thunders. The Royal Livingstone Hotel stretches luxuriously along the banks of the Zambezi River. The Hotel consists of a series of 17 colonial-style buildings, with deep verandas, set amid indigenous trees and plants. A classic swimming pool visually links the waters of the river with the terraces of the hotel, with a sweeping timber deck planted in the swirling water of the Zambezi

All guest rooms are luxuriously furnished, with freshly cut flowers, crisp white linen and large comfortable beds to welcome you after a day exploring the falls. Each guest room has satellite television, a mini-bar, mini-safe, telephone, as well as tea and coffee-making facilities. Bathrooms feature spacious showers and Victorian baths, with wildlife pencil sketches adorning the cool, ivory-washed walls, reflecting the textures and moods of the Zambezi River. All guest rooms are air conditioned, providing the perfect sanctuary to retire to after a day spent exploring the mysteries and challenges of this remarkable retreat.

24-hour room service is available with a butler at your service between 07:00 and 23:00 everyday. Your butler will manage your room service, organize valet and laundry, shoe polishing, call for your golf cart to move you about the resort in comfort and be available for all your other needs.

Your days are at leisure for many optional activities including soaring above the falls in a micro-lite aircraft, rafting the mighty Zambezi River, or golfing where baboon and warthog have free run of the fairways. You can choose to take a sunset cruise before dinner one night on the upper Zambezi River.
