Rusthof Country House, a classic Cape Dutch styled home, lies in the heart of the historic French Huguenot Village of Franschhoek, the "Food & Wine" capital of South Africa. The scenery is spectacular with magnificent mountains, endless vineyards and shady oak trees that dominate this beautiful valley. Rusthof is an exclusive Country House catering to no more than 16 guests, ensuring a warm, friendly personal service in gracious and elegant surroundings.

Each of the spacious bedrooms has its own unique character, with pure cotton bed linen, coffee and tea facilities and the most luxurious interior décor. All the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with separate bath and shower. They are fully air conditioned and have under floor heating (even the bathrooms!). You will enjoy being located walking distance from many restaurants and shops.

You are situated on the main street of Franschhoek only a minute away from award winning restaurants, charming bistros, galleries and museum. Unwind by the pool in our lovely tranquil garden and enjoy the magnificent mountain views. It is the perfect base from which to explore this unique and most breathtaking region, as well as many superb wine estates.

Activities in the area include a Jack Nicholas signature golf course a 15 minute drive away, personalized wine tours and tasting at exclusive cellars of the area can be arranged, bicycle rental, wine tasting on horseback, walking and hiking trails, lunches or picnics on wine estates to name a few.
