Singita Boulders Lodge

Boulders is our favorite of the Singita Lodges. The modern glass walled villas are every bit as luxurious as you would expect from a property continually voted best in the world. It is hard to forget the magic of having all the pieces fit together so elegantly. We enthusiastically recommend this property. Wine lovers are encouraged to take advantage of the wine cellar so make sure to book a cellar tasting.

The only possible downside to this experience for some is that not many young people can afford Singita so the age of the clientèle tends to be on the older side. Book early as space is a challenge.

Singita Private Game Reserve, located in the game rich Sabi Sands Reserve, offers exquisite luxury, rare solitude and perfect tranquility. Singita, which means "The Miracle" in the local Shangaan language, has three distinctive lodges: Ebony Lodge, Boulders Lodge and Castleton Camp.

Singita Boulders Lodge is set at the base of a dolerite rise, and has 9 sunken suites of glass and baluwood. Each suite has a lounge area, ensuite bathroom and outdoor shower and a private outdoor deck with flow pool. Guest suite amenities also include air conditioning, mini-bar and fridge, and direct dial telephones.

Overlooking the African plains from the main deck, a spectacular breakfast follows your return from your morning game drive, with a buffet of seasonal fruits, cereals, yogurts and fruit juice, followed by a delectable hot breakfast. For lunch, chefs prepare a medley of culinary delights, inspired by African flavors yet guided by western cooking tradition. Dinner is served by the light of oil lamps on the moonlit deck, or in the library surrounded by a fine collection of antique and modern books on Africa. Boulders has a unique wine cellar where guests can choose from 12,000 bottles of South Africa's award winning wines.

Guests at Singita can enjoy dawn and dusk game drives or walking safaris under the guidance of skilled rangers and Shangaan trackers. There is also a fully equipped gym and a safari boutique servicing the lodge.
