Kruger National Park, South Africa
Singita Lebombo Lodge
Lavish and sleek, Lebombo is another property with very little to say other than - go there - you will love it. We enthusiastically recommend this property. The terrain is quite different from the Sabi Sands area of Kruger, thus complement each other nicely. If you go to modern Lebombo, then maybe think about going for Ebony in the Sabi Sands. The only possible downside to this experience for some is that not many young people can afford Singita, so the age of the clientele tends to be on the older side. Book early as space is a challenge. For most, this is not the start to a trip - but a well savored finale.

Singita Lebombo is enchantment in a savage setting, a glimpse of wildest Africa. Located in a remote section of the Kruger National Park, the lodge derives its name from the Lebombo Mountains that separate South Africa and Mozambique. Singita Lebombo is an exclusive 15,000 hectare private concession where the wildlife is dominated by large herds of animals. Rangers say it's the largest concentration of game they've seen in the Kruger National Park. The area is marked by its diversity, from the leopards and lion that own the open spaces to the herds engaged in the ebb and flow of an archaic migration. Each creature is an intrinsic part of a precarious cycle, from the hundreds of species of birds to the flora and intriguing insect life. The days and nights here are shared with the animals, the sounds and smells of the African bush. Sparsely adorned spaces created of wall-to-wall glass, Lebombo Lodge's suites are places of interaction with a wilderness that echoes to the soul. There are a number of ways to view the wildlife, from the unparalleled panorama from the viewing deck of each luxury loft, to the guided game walks and drives available at your request.Guests at Singita Lebombo will encounter something truly original: a cuisine inspired by African flavors yet guided by the Western culinary tradition. The epitome of every stay at Singita's lodges is the luxurious care one indulges in at the health spa. Your masseuse offers treatments from the more conventional European massages to Ayurveda and acupuncture, be indulged with reflexology, manicures, facials and aromatherapy. Gaze across the endless wonders of the African bush while working out in the modern fitness center. It is not surprising that Conde Nast readers have voted Singita the world's #1 destination.
