Table Bay Hotel
We generally like smaller boutique hotels located in Cape Town's neighborhoods. However, if you are spending a number of days in Cape Town, Table Bay occasionally has some pricing specials. If you want to be located in the waterfront and do not have a car, then this is a good choice and less expensive than the Cape Grace. Their restaurant, the Atlantic, gets excellent reviews. — Mango's view
The Table Bay Hotel, located on Cape Town's Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, straddles the antique breakwater and is an architectural masterpiece, capturing the essence of the enchanting Cape, the Victorian elegance of yesterday, combined with the contemporary design of today. It is in perfect harmony with the backdrop of Table Mountain, the historic working harbor and the yacht bay.The Table Bay Hotel is a 329 room hotel and it uniquely responds to its magnificent surroundings. It has a maritime flavor that extends to each room and suite which has sea or mountain views and is a luxurious port of call. The interior of the hotel presents a kaleidoscope of impressions, from the European marble mosaic of the entrance court to the intricate parquet floor of the foyer framed by the full-scale drama of Table Mountain, with the activity of the harbour in the foreground. Below the foyer to the south is the grand lounge with its cathedral ceiling and twin fireplaces. There are many things to see during your visit to Africa's most cosmopolitan city. Tours of the Cape Peninsula, Robben Island, whale watching, helicopter charters and deep sea fishing are a few of the interesting options available. We will give you a list of Mango's favorite restaurants including The Africa Café. There you can enjoy a communal-style African feast that includes over 19 dishes from nearby African countries.
