Tongabezi

Tongabezi is our favorite property in terms of style, design and service in the area. A perfect choice for honeymooners!

This clump of properties, Tongabezi, Sussi and Chuma and River Club are located about 25 minutes outside of town. For some, this is great since the properties are smaller and removed from the hubbub of town. For others, this is a daily hassle to get to the sites and activities of the area.

Tongabezi approaches their location in a brilliant way supplying each guest with a 'guide' for their stay. He is at their service for a multitude of included activities, like touring the Zambian side of the falls, as well as transfers to other activity points like rafting, helicopter tours, etc.  — Mango's view

Victoria Falls is a site that no visitor to Southern Africa should miss. Local tribe's people describe it as 'mosi o tunya' or the smoke that thunders. Tongabezi is situated on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River, 18 km upstream from Victoria Falls. Guests here enjoy the sights and sounds of Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River in a peaceful and tranquil setting away from the crowds.

Ideally located for visits to the falls from both Zambia and Zimbabwe is where Tongabezi lies, an exclusive and romantic lodge beautifully positioned on the riverbanks, with stunning views across the Zambezi. This unique and up market lodge accommodates just 18 guests in cottages and unique houses that are spacious and luxurious.

Livingstone and the Victoria Falls environs offer many optional activities including soaring above the falls in a micro-lite aircraft, rafting the mighty Zambezi River or taking an elephant back ride. Tongabezi Lodge offers private dinners on a floating raft on the upper Zambezi River as well as a variety of spa treatments. You must find time to see the falls, relax by the pool and peruse the markets (some of Southern Africa's best).
