Zimbali Lodge is one of Southern Africa's most exclusive hideaways, set within the serene confines of a coastal forest reserve on the north coast of Kwa Zulu Natal - a natural subtropical paradise and home to mischievous dolphins and a myriad of sea and bird life. The hotel overlooks the incredible Indian Ocean and is surrounded by lush vegetation and beautiful indigenous gardens.
Zimbali Lodge is a boutique hotel offering 5-star luxury accommodation, and is decorated to complement the natural surrounding forest. The classical architecture is accentuated by warm wood and russet autumn tones. The bathrooms are luxurious and feature Victorian baths from the turn of the century. Each room has a mini-bar which is well stocked with a selection of beverages and light snacks. Butlers are on hand to attend to the guests' every need including room service. A very select ensemble of delicious snacks and light meals grace the room service menu.
Dining options include the Restaurant & Fountain Court. This intimate venue, in which the décor enhances the colonial mood of the lodge, is lavishly designed, incorporating the rich hues of crafted wooden furniture and specially designed fabrics. The chef insists that only the freshest ingredients are good enough for the delicious meals presented at Zimbali Lodge. There is also the Lounge with its fireplace and colonial elegance, providing a delightful after dinner venue. Nightcaps are served and include coffee, cognac and liqueurs. Don't forget the pool bar, where guests can enjoy a light lunch and drinks in the beauty of the great outdoors.
An ideal retreat when it comes to getting-away-from-it-all and relaxing. Zimbali Lodge and Country Club is located in a coastal forest surrounded by a championship 18-hole golf course and naturally occurring lakes and wetlands.
