Located minutes from the entrance to Andasibe National Park, Analamazaotra Hotel is a quiet, peaceful and serene place with nature while keeping your comfort in mind. At the hotel there are 10 bungalows with the standard amenities and a restaurant with a bar.
Andasibe Park is a protected rainforest that is home to extraordinary animal diversity. The park has eleven species of lemurs and is world famous for its population of Indri Indri, the largest living lemur. The peculiar call of the indri can be heard early in the early morning until noon and again in the late afternoon. As well as the amazing Indri lemurs you may also see the Eastern grey bamboo lemur and red-fronted brown lemur. There are also impressive reptiles like Malagasy tree boa and two foot long Parson’s chameleon on show. You might even be fortunate enough to see the giraffe-necked Weevil, the golden Mantilla frog or the leaf-tailed gecko.
All exploring is done on foot along trails that weave through the forest: expeditions can vary in length from one hour to five. Walks are particularly rewarding in the early morning when indri calls, sounding rather like a weird forest whalesong, echo through the air.
