Ankarana Lodge hotel is a great starting point to visit the national nature reserve surrounding the Lodge. It is located in beautiful nature and allows you to live in an exceptional atmosphere surrounded by limestone formation and a dry savanna. For lovers of animals different species of lemurs and birds come to the Lodge to enchant you. At night you will have the chance to find camels and snakes that live close to our lodge. Ankarana Lodge provides air-conditioned bungalows with bathroom. They are simply decorated but comfortable and clean.
Ankarana National Park is a remarkable part of northern Madagascar where you can discover the wealth of endemic flora and fauna. Apart from the world of tropical islands around Nosy Be, most of our circuits are accessible only by tracks and thus all trips are made by all-terrain vehicles. During these tours you will be accompanied by local, trained and competent guides, who will provide you with comprehensive information on plants and animals. During breaks, our cooks will delight you with Malagasy dishes. At the foot of the French Mountain and just behind a nearby hotel, we have created a botanical park of 26 hectares with the help of GTZ (German cooperation). You will discover the rich vegetation of northern Madagascar, which is characterized by the presence of numerous rare plants. The park is perfect for solitary walks, during which you make your way on a pontoon set up in the mangroves before winning savanna and dry forest. The park's rocky slopes offer breathtaking views over one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
