This quaint hotel is located in Arba Minch in the southern region of Ethiopia and is great for a quick stop over between destinations. Located in the heart of Arba Minch, Tourist Hotel provides easy access to city life and experiencing the locals.

Arba Minch, or 'Forty Springs' in Amharic, takes its name from the bubbling streams that cover the groundwater forest occupying the flats of the town. Arba Minch is also known as a source for fruit, including mango, banana, orange, apple, guava and pineapple, and is also known for its fish farms.

While in the city, visitors can visit the Dorze village and people. This tribe is known for their bee hive shaped houses and their weaving skills, which have become the primary profession of the tribe. The tribe also manages soil erosion through unique farming practices which terrace the mountain sides. Farming also occurs around individual huts. These gardens are full of vegetables, spices, tobacco and enset (false-banana or musa ensete).

Another activity for visitors is taking an afternoon boat trip on Lake Chamo. While out on the lake, one can spot an abundance of hippos and the world's most spectacular concentrations of Giant Crocodiles. The water bird sightings are great and the scenery is truly unforgettable!
