An authentic bush camp experience in the heart of Kafue National Park. With only four tents, the camp is small and homey. The park itself varies seasonally from a bird watchers paradise early in the season to a cheetah and lion viewing spectacle in the dryer months. Guests love to view and photograph the tree climing lions that sometimes enter camp.

Busanga Bush Camp lies in the heart of the Busanga Plains, a wildlife paradise that is situated in the northern region of the Kafue National Park, one of the largest national parks in Africa. The Busanga Plains covers an area of approximately 750 sq km and is one of Zambia's most significant wetland resources, one of the few areas in the world that remain untouched by development and human activity.
The camp, hidden in a well vegetated tree-island of sycamore fig trees, can accommodate eight guests in four well-appointed traditional tents. Each tent has an open air en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and hot showers and a small veranda. The lounge and bar area is under canvas with an uninterrupted view out over the plains; breakfast is often served here to take in the sunrise and the view of herds of lechwe and puku feeding. A little further back is the dining area, shaded by the canopy of a majestic tree from which an unusual lantern chandelier hangs, romantically lighting up dinner; most meals are served in the open air. A short walk from the main area, guests can find a viewing deck built into the large sausage tree for gazing out over the vast plains.
Activities include game drives, walking safaris and night drives, led by qualified guides who are extremely knowledgeable about the area and its wildlife. There is a remarkably diverse array of wildlife, including several prides of lions, that can be found in the area, which ensures that guests will have an impressive and memorable time exploring the surroudings.
