This is a beautiful bush home property in Northern Laikipia. With only 4 rooms and being owner run and operated, you feel like you are family. Collin and Rockie make fantastic hosts. We think this property makes a great relaxing finale or retreat like starting point as there is wildlife around but that is not the primary focus. Their relationship with the local Samburu makes this an ideal location for authentic cultural interaction.

Step into an ancient land inhabited by wildlife and peoples of a time long ago, undisturbed and living by the rhythm of nature. Here you find Ol Malo - Place of the Greater Kudu - nestled into a rugged escarpment looking out across the time honored lands of Kenyas Northern Frontier District. The four guest cottages are uniquely built out of natural rock and ancient olive wood, with thatched roofs and huge glass windows facing onto the spectacular views.

All the cottages are uniquely designed and enjoy king size beds, luxurious en-suite bathrooms and has its own private veranda. Guests are awakened each morning to hot tea or coffee and home made biscuits. This is only the beginning of the delicious food prepared fresh from ingredients grown on the farm.

Ol Malo is situated in the Northern Frontier District with no fenced areas. The wildlife in this region includes elephants, buffalo, giraffes, Grevy and Burchell Zebras, gerenuk, hartebeast, Grants and Thompsons Gazelles, impalas, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas (spotted and striped) and  packs of rare wild dogs. While game drives are available, this lodge offers bush walks, medicinal plant walks, swimming and enjoying the stunning views. There are a myriad of other activities available for guests of all ages: camel rides, horseback rides, local Samburu cultural visits, and mountain biking.
