This is a clean, large hotel that has the 'location, location, location' in Livingstone. For families, people on a budget or energetic folks interested in lots of activities, this is a great home base. What it lacks in character, it makes up for in function.

Set along the eastern cataract of Victoria Falls, the Avani Victoria Falls Resort has been designed to reflect the beautiful earthy tones and architectural style of an African village. Simple finishes highlight bright mosaics and fabrics and the intoxicating environment is characterized by ethnic wall stencils, timber and plaster ceilings, Zambian artworks and crafted accessories. It is constructed in a series of eight buildings, consisting of the guest rooms and a central pavilion of restaurants. The guest rooms acknowledge their African roots in the deep, rich red earth color of the rounded planes of its walls. Each room features a private shaded balcony for guests to relax and take in the stunning setting.
After a long day of exploring the area, refresh with a swim in the pool. In the early evening the dark outline of the hotel is set against iridescent curls of smoky vapor that dance above its roofline from the falls. There are four dining options there ranging from the Avani Threatre of Food to the poolside Avani Crocodile Cafe. Enjoy international flavors or local specialities.
Optional activities include soaring above the falls in a micro-lite aircraft, or taking in the view from a helicopter to name a few of the options. There are many tours and activities that are available at Victoria Falls so that visitors may fully enjoy this region. Among these activities are boat cruises, white water rafting, zip lining and nature walks.
