Hemingway's is a cute, locally owned & operated Kenyan beach hotel. This has been 'the place' to go for years which means it is set on a great beach and the resort is a little dated by modern standards. It is a good value choice for big game fishing and visiting the Gede Ruins. Accommodation is simple and meals are mostly buffet style.

White sand beaches fringed with swaying palms on one side and clear blue waters on the other, casuarinas, oleanders and brilliantly coloured bougainvillaea refreshed by gentle breezes, and the enchantment of Kenya's wildlife sanctuaries only a few miles away....this is the Kenyan coast - one of the most idyllic and exotic resort areas anywhere in the world.

Hemingways is a 76-bed beach resort on the stunning stretches of white sandy beaches of Watamu Bay. The ambiance of the hotel is of relaxed sophistication, with the friendliness of a privately-owned hotel coupled to the facilities and standards of an international resort. Hemingway's beach has been voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world by the Sunday Times. The rooms have comfortable beds with crisp linens, en-suite bathrooms and beautiful views. Decorated in a stylish manner, there is an ambiance of Victorian class with gentle hints of safari elegance mixed with the fresh feel of coastal whites and blues.

You can choose to participate in the myriad of sea activities from big game fishing to snorkeling or simply relax and take in the relaxed atmosphere. Stroll along the pristine beachfront or stretch out on a beach towel and soak up the blissfully warm sunshine. Cruise through the fresh ocean breezes while enjoying a custom made cocktail or glass of exquisite wine.
