This is a lovely simple little camp in beautiful Meru NP. The game is not as dense as other areas of the country but it is still a lovely little spot for people to consider.

Offbeat Meru Camp is a 12-bedded luxury semi-permanent camp situated just outside the park in Bisanadi National Reserve, set above the pretty Bisanadi River. Meru National Park offers visitors a chance to visit one of Kenyas most magical parks away from the masses. The park has a wide variety of landscapes and is dominated by savanna, but includes riverine forest and swamps. The park is crossed by 13 rivers which flow toward the Tana River in the south and the Nyambene Hills to the west.
The camp is comprised of six large tents, three twins and three doubles, all with en-suite bucket showers, wash basin and flush toilets. The spacious tents are furnished with huge beds, solar lighting and the finest linen. There is a large sitting room tent equipped with bar, library, comfy sofas and writing table. There is also a large dining tent capable of sitting up to 16 people. The camp has a lovely swimming pool.
Activities include day and night game drives in fully equipped custom-designed safari vehicles, walking safaris, bush breakfasts, sun-downers and camel safaris. The park has excellent game viewing opportunities which include lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, black and white rhinos, eland, gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, Grants Gazelle, Grevys Zebra, lesser kudu and reticulated giraffe as well as over 280 species of birds.
