The rooms are lovely and open-air. The environment has the feeling of an English colonial retreat complete with croquet lawn and the occasional bugle wake-up serenade by Peter, the property owner.
This clump of properties, Tongabezi, Sussi and Chuma and River Club are located about 25 minutes outside of town. For some, this is great since the properties are smaller and removed from the hubbub of town. For others, this is a daily hassle to get to the sites and activities of the area.

The River Club is situated on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River, 18 km upstream from Victoria Falls. The camp has a distinct Edwardian flavor, and guests here enjoy the sights and sounds of Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River in a peaceful and tranquil setting away from the crowds.
The eleven private and spacious suites are individually set within magnificent trees on the edge of the Zambezi River, overlooking pods of hippo into the Zambezi National Park. All are west facing and take advantage of the spectacular African sunsets. The rooms are named after people who in their day played a special part in the history of the country. Each well-positioned suite features walk-in mosquito net, air-conditioning/ heating, overhead fan, digital safe, mini fridge, tea/ coffee facilities, hair dryer, multi-national adaptors and of course, sensational views!
Victoria Falls is arguably the greatest waterfall in the world. Daily trips to the falls are a highlight. Boating to the Zambezi Rivers islands provides relaxed afternoon activities, and fishing and sundowner trips are offered. Enjoy your days at leisure for many optional activities including soaring above the falls in a micro-lite aircraft, rafting the mighty Zambezi River, to name just a few. You can choose to take a sunset cruise before dinner one night on the upper Zambezi River.
