This is a strange but beautifully restored castle and unique lodging option in WIndhoek. This is one of the nicer places to stay in town with central location and great food.

When Count von Schwerin commissioned castle Heinitzburg for his fiance, Margarethe von Heinitz in 1914, love was his inspiration, elegance was his achievement. The German influences can be seen in the design and decor, making it a lovely place to stay for a touch of historical culture infused with classically styled comfort.
The Heinitzburg today, only a two-minute drive to the heart of town, offers 16 spacious generously appointed en-suite rooms, each individually decorated so no two rooms looking the same! Each room has an individual air-conditioning / heating unit, direct telephone, electronic safe, mini bar, flatscreen TV with satellite channels. The Superior Deluxe rooms have bath with integrated showers, while the Deluxe rooms all have a walk in shower. The beds are comfortable with crisp linens. Throughout the rooms there are beautifuld design details that reflect the European influences. There is beautiful modern pool set amid shading trees that guests can enjoy on a hot day. It's a refreshing way to end a day exploring the lively city.
This hotel is a proud member of Relais and Chateau and known for its superb cuisine complimented by choice wines from the largest private wine cellar in Namibia. Windhoek, Namibias capital is a quaint city. It is famous for its game leather shopping at the boutique around the central outdoor market.
