We have not made it to Kilalinda yet. The property is located in its own private wilderness conservation area of 8,000 acres near the extremely wild Tsavo National Park. We envision it to be more of a bush retreat than a heavy hitting safari camp. We will let you know. The star bath is an extra special option for couples and you will have views of Mt. Kilimanjaro while sipping sundowners.

Kilalinda is a quiet refuge situated on 8,000 acres of private wildlife conservancy, the place of constant little surprises, of subtle stirring revelations. Located on the edge of Tsavo East National Park, in the welcoming shadow of the Yatta Plateau, the lodge sits on a sandy promontory overlooking the Athi River - a little drop of luxury in the harsh wilds of Tsavo.

Accommodation consists of six luxury cottages. Each cottage has its own individual character with an en-suite tiled bathroom, four-poster bed, stylish hand-dyed bedspreads, thick woolen carpets, private veranda, and plenty of refershing breezes. A combination of sisal sacking walls, twisted olive pillars and cool clay tiled floors, complimented by cushion laden sofas and home spun fabrics, are all crafted in complete kindness to the local environment. While the dining's focus is on five star cuisine and service, the setting is always homely and unpretentious. Most of the fresh vegetables are grown on a farm nearby and all bread, cakes and pastas are home-made. We can vary menus from the traditional to the exotic and can accommodate most diet preferences. If you want something more than relaxing by the pool, the expert guides are on hand for the following activities: game drives in open Land Rovers, night and day, Tsavo East and West National Park excursions, fishing, river trips, escorted game walks, bird watching, fly camps, and romantic star baths.
