This is a well run little camp for people exploring Amboseli National Park. The camp location on the private concession is good for night game drives and visiting the local Maasai. Rustic but nice place.

Located in the Selenkay Conservancy, a few miles north of Amboseli National Park, Porini Amboseli Camp lies in the heart of Maasai land and the animals are truly wild and not yet habituated to the presence of vehicles.

Accommodation at Porini Amboseli Camp includes nine spacious guest tents, comfortably furnished and with en-suite bathrooms including a shower, wash basin and flush toilet. Tents have solar powered electric lighting. They feature natural colors and safari-inspired design to help bring guests closer to the experience. There is a lounge where guests can relax and reflect on the safari adventures of the day, and dining is usually al fresco with the sights and sounds of the bush making each meal and memorable occasion.

Within the conservation area, a wide array of wildlife have been known to frequent, including elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, Thompsons and Grants gazelles, gerenuk, impala, oryx, lesser kudu, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, warthog, striped hyena, jackal, bat-eared fox, caracal, African wild cat, serval cat, genet cat, honey badger, mongoose and ostrich. Bird life is prolific, especially birds of prey. All transport is in a specially designed open-sided Land Rover 4-wheel drive safari vehicle. Activities include vehicle based safaris, night game drives, escorted walks and Maasai village visits.
