Our guesthouse, Kasbah Ait Ben Damiette, is ideally situated in the palm grove of Skoura, at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, and only 40km from the city of Ouarzazate in the south of Morocco. It was built during the 1950s and was completely restored in 2010 with the help of local craftsmen using traditional techniques. In a similar style to a riad, the guesthouse comprises twelve rooms, a dining room, a sitting room and a bar, with the whole building set around a patio and fountain.
Guesthouse Kasbah Ait Ben Damiette offers the magic of a thousand and one nights in its twelve bedrooms and suites. They are beautifully decorated in true Moroccan style and have panoramic views either towards the Atlas Mountains, over the palm grove, to the desert or onto the garden.
There is a 12x6 meter swimming pool for your enjoyment as well as a small pool for young children. For the more active amongst you, you can enjoy a game of table tennis or pétanque (boules) in the middle of the garden in the shade of the olive, almond, palm and orange trees. We invite you to explore the palm grove of Skoura which stretches over an area of more than 30 km². By foot, donkey or 4WD, you can discover kasbahs and beautiful countryside. If you wish, you can take tea or eat with the locals. Our guides can also suggest other excursions to enable you to discover the beautiful landscapes of south Morocco.
