Somalisa Acacia is the perfect luxury safari experience for families with younger children or smaller private groups of safari-goers. This family safari camp, located slightly to the west of sister camp Somalisa sits on the edge of a seasonal floodplain in Hwange National Park. Somalisa Acacia is tucked away beneath the dappled shade of an Acacia grove. The camp has its own main lounge area, dining room, boma, guest swimming pool and elephant drinking pool, all overlooking a stunning waterhole in front of camp.
Somalisa Acacia comprises of 2 family units with inter-leading walkways between the parents and children’s rooms which are both en-suite, as well as 2 standard sail tents. Each tent includes gauze sliding doors which give 180 degree views of the surrounding bush. The core focus of this camp is to provide guests with outstanding experiences through the passionate and professional guides and hosts
The camp enjoys its own private views of a small water hole, frequented by large herds of big game including buffalo, elephant, kudu, zebra, giraffe and lion. A small splash pool allows you to cool off during the heat of the day. Activities on offer are game drives and walking excursions with the camp’s professional guides. Most of the activities are in the Somalisa private concession but with easy access to other parts of Hwange National Park.

Within the Chobe National Park lies the fascinating game rich Savuti area. Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge is ideally positioned on the edges of the Ghoha Hills overlooking the Savuti Plains. To the south east of the lodge, the Savuti Marsh beckons. The Marsh is a relic of an inland lake which is fed by the Savuti channel. Covered by extensive savannah and rolling grasslands, the wildlife is dynamic year-round. It is often said that the Savuti grasslands provide the best game viewing in Africa today, with one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the continent, through all seasons. Activities include: morning and afternoon safari drives and day excursions to the Savuti March.
