Carefully positioned for close proximity to the wildlife herds of the Great Wildebeest Migration, Serengeti Under Canvas camps are situated at a variety of private campsites throughout the national park and move according to the path of the migratory herds.

There are eight tents nestled at each private campsite. Tents have al fresco bucket showers. Crisp linens and crystal chandeliers in your spacious tent lend of air of extravagance. The simplicity of camping, with no mains electricity and running water, is softened by convenient touches like a flush water closet, power outlets in the vehicles and a personal butler. A dedicated sitting and dining tent provides deep sofas from which to contemplate the vastness and peace of the surrounding landscape.

Between July & October the camp follows the migration which reaches its northern range of the Serengeti. Within the northern Serengeti lies the grasslands on either bank of the crocodile-infested Mara River, which the herds must cross not once, but twice, as they complete their migration. The herds remain in this area until mid-December before they can usually be found heading south again. As well as the herds that make up the migration, there are also lots of cats, as well elephants, buffalo, impala, giraffe and many other species of plains game. Game drives and walks in the company of the Masai are at your leisure.
