This camp is set up under large acacia tortilis trees, right in the heart of Tanzania’s wilderness. The camp is open from December till March when the migration of millions of wildebeest will more than likely be in the Southern short grass plains.
Serengeti is Africa’s most famous park. The variety and abundance of wildlife you see here is unmatched anywhere else in Africa, including the Big Five and annual wildebeest migration. The Nabi Hills might sound busy being the main entrance of the Serengeti, but this is a big hill. The hill is very central to the annual migration of wildebeest. Ironically it feels a lot more remote than any camp in the Ndutu area during the same time of year.
This small comfortable camp offers you a non-stop safari experience. It has very stylish bell tents and proper African glamping in every sense of the word. The tents are 4m across with double beds, 100% linen bedding, chairs, luggage racks and attached a large bathroom with a hot water shower. All meals are prepared by a chef in a camp kitchen. Served by waiters as either plated of buffet, depending on the menu of the day. All meals are 3-course, well prepared home cooking.

This Nyumba is located at the rim of Ngorongoro Crater where it is poised for optimal access not only to the nearby cultural treasures, but also to the crater floor where you will experience exceptional wildlife viewing. The air here has a heavenly fresh scent, though the high elevation (about 7,200 feet) makes for potentially chilly nights; it will be important to bring warm clothes, per your packing list.
The exceptional camp crew will make sure you have everything you need to stay comfortable, for example, making sure hot showers are available in your en suite bathroom, preparing delicious four course meals and offering you drinks or snacks around the roaring camp fire.
Ngorongoro was named by the Maasai as El-Nkoronkoro meaning Gift of Life. This was because they were migrating from Central Africa for a permanent settlement. The crater is the world's largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera. The crater, which formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself two to three million years ago, is 2,000 feet deep and its floor covers 100 square miles.
