A classic tented camp located on a private concession in the Okavango Delta, Sanctuary Stanley's Camp offers a varied game viewing experience as well as our unique Living with Elephants activity. The accommodation consists of eight classic-styled safari tents featuring handcrafted beds dressed with the finest linen, antique furniture individually selected and oriental carpets that transport you to early 19th century Africa. Each unit offers en-suite facilities and a private balcony with hammocks and Morris chairs. The main building is raised on wooden decks and offers extensive views over the surrounding floodplains. The camp is carefully blended into the existing tree line, its main support being a large sausage tree.
Stanleys Camp offers some of the best game viewing in the Okavango, including the rare and elusive wild dog. Spend a day walking with the elephants and observing them up close in their natural environment. Other activities available at Stanleys Camp include serene mokoro canoe excursions (subject to water levels), exclusive bush dinners, and game drives in customized, open 4x4 vehicles - including the rare opportunity of nighttime game drives to see fascinating nocturnal creatures.
