Bakubung Bush Lodge is a resort-like hotel at the foot of a large wooded hill. The hotel forms a buffalo-horn crescent around the entertainment area; a park lawn extends to a dam that is a popular meeting place for many of Africa's famous wild animals. The lodge has a thatched roof, tiled floors, open sides and lush garden go a long way in setting the scene for a relaxing break in the middle of the African bush. You've got a choice of thatched studio or chalet and with a total of 140 rooms there's a good chance you'll get what you want. Each is equipped with en suite bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV, direct-dial phones, hair dryers and coffee stations.
Dining is a themed extravaganza in the large thatched restaurant or under the stars on a clear night by the light of an open fire. The á la carte menu caters for all tastes and appetites and the wine list offers the best of South Africa's favorites.
