The Plettenberg Hotel, a five star Relais and Chateaux Hotel, is built on a rocky headland with beautiful views of the sea, sand, and mountains. Plettenberg Bay is a holiday makers paradise and the eco-tourists dream. Its eternal weather ensures days of warm comfort and lazy, pleasurable evenings, seldom found anywhere else. It is home to vast expanses of unspoiled Cape flora, delicate eco-systems in wetlands and lagoons, forests of unsurpassed beauty, pristine sand dunes and sun bleached beaches as far as the eye can see.
There are 37 luxury rooms and suites, all air-conditioned with a private bathroom, television and under floor heating. Your large luxury room has sea views and a small step-out balcony. Dining is of course a fabulous facet of the hotel. The Sand Restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner serving modern and contemporary cuisine. Sandbar is a chic and stylish cocktail bar. Special dinners can be served in the Wine Cellar where guest have the opportunity to choose some of South Africas finest wines to be served with their meal.
Activities offered are rock and deep sea fishing and diving. There are two Gary Player designed golf courses in the vicinity, and bowls and tennis are offered at the nearby Country Club. Guests can also enjoy coastal drives and day trips to Knysna and Tsitsikamma forest. A new Spa has been added to the hotel recently as well.
