Samburu can be a crowded park but this camp has nice finishes and great guides who successfully navigate around those pitfalls for the most part. This camp is on the more affordable end which is great. Animals, especially elephants, walk through camp frequently.

Set on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in Samburu National Reserve, surrounded by doum palms sits this small and exclusive camp of 12 luxury tents - all furnished in rustic African style while offering all the comforts expected of a luxury camp, like hot and cold running water, electricity and herbal products. The tents feature comfortable beds with crisp linens and bursts of bright reds and oranges - reminiscent of the traditional garb donned by the Samburu warriors.
The lounge and dining area offer vibrant safari colors with original oil paintings, soft intimate lighting designed to relax guests returning from an exciting game drive. Huge herds of elephant, prides of lion or the solitary leopard amongst other game are regular visitors around the camp providing excellent game viewing in spectacular scenic background of rugged rolling hills.
Elephant Bedroom offers morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles and you are likely to see prides of lion, herds of elephant and leopard. The afternoon/evening game drive includes a stop for sundowners and your morning drive may include an interval for a fabulous bush breakfast. You can deepen your understanding of Samburu on guided bush walks with the resident naturalist or by joining one of the talks about Samburu culture. Cultural visits are also on offer.
