Unique Safaris River Camp is a mobile tented camp that moves through the southern and northern Serengeti, the location changes depending on areas of greatest wildlife concentration.
With a maximum occupancy of 12 - 14 guests, the camp's authentic seclusion is unmatched. With their team of dedicated attendants, cooks and staff, they assure you one of the most intimate experiences available in the crater area.
Accommodations consist of just six (6) sleeping tents for a maximum occupancy of just 14 guests. There is also the main lodge tent, which contains the lounge, library, dining room, bar and sundowner/fire pit area. Gourmet meals may be served by the flicker of candle lamps with a billion stars overhead. Spacious sleeping tents, en suite bathrooms and a comfortable bed round out these tented accommodations.
Between August and November the camp follows the migration which reaches its northern range of the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara. Within the Maasai Mara lies the grasslands on either bank of the crocodile-infested Mara River, which the herds must cross not once, but twice, as they complete their migration. The herds remain in this area until mid-December before they can usually be found heading south again. In addition to the herds that make up the migration, there lots of the cats, as well elephants, buffalo, impala, giraffe and many other species of plains game.
