Situated within 14,000 hectares of pristine wilderness, adjacent to the Krug er National Park, the Thornybush Nature Reserve is a true escape from the madness of city life. This haven, which is just over 5 hours drive from Johannesburg has scooped numerous world firsts, both for conservation and hospitality. Leopards are a speciality in this reserve, but other animals to look out for include lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hyena, zebra and host of antelope!
Serondella means the place of the elephant and they are habitual patrons to the lodge’s two flanking waterholes, allowing excellent opportunities for spectacular photographs and videos from the comfort of the lodge’s lounge or suites.
An exclusive Boma, Bar area close to the Lodges swimming pool makes for an ideal venue for rest and refreshment. The Lodge is perfectly located and set amongst a wide variety of tress providing shade and an abundance of birdlife.
The camp has four luxurious chalets - one of which is a Family Suite consisting of three en suite rooms that can sleep up to six people. Room facilities include air-conditioning, a safe, separate bath and shower, a hairdryer, bathroom amenities and laundry service.
