In the middle of northern Namibia’s arid, captivating Savannah, bordering the world-famous Etosha National Park, is Safarihoek Lodge. Perched on a hill, overlooking the plains below, you’ll find thatched chalets, a double-story photography hide, and a swimming pool with 180-degree vistas of the brilliant Savannah. There are a number of spots from which to soak up the view of the vast horizon - pool lounger, grassy patch or air-conditioned wine lounge. Or get cozy at the fireplace with a good read, or watch the wildlife visiting the camp’s waterhole. From the impressive vantage point of the dining, lounge and boma areas, this magnificent setting lends itself to relaxed, stylish dining under the African skies.
Each of the eleven well-appointed chalets offers panoramic vistas of the African Savannah. Rooms are privately situated and are furnished with a minibar, coffee station and mosquito nets along with air-conditioning, electronic safe, hair dryer, en-suite bathroom and a small desk work area.
Enjoy morning or afternoon drives in the private reserve looking for the elusive black and white rhino. Explore the land after dark. The dolomite hills offer cover for elusive mountain zebra, kudu and lion and the numerous waterholes attract large numbers of game and their feathered counterparts. The reserve is also home to numerous species of antelope including sable and black-faced impala, as well as giraffe and other plains game.
