The Protea Hotel Amani Beach is a tranquil Dar es Salaam seaside accommodation, amidst eighty acres of lush tropical greenery. It is situated 20 miles in the southern Ras Kutani beach area of Dar es Salaam and can be reached by a short ferry ride and a 40-minute drive by road later. Its remote location means that the only fauna sounds you will hear are that of birds singing in the trees and monkeys chattering and swinging from the branches. The calming sound of the waves on the lax sands of the south beach only adds to the serenity. Lounge on the hammock on your private veranda enjoy the stunning view of the ocean and the lush gardens, or take a walk down to the beach from your cottage on sandy paths. As the sun sets and the moon rises, the fragrances of jasmine and other tropical flowers waft through the ethereally beautiful night.

The Protea Hotel Amani Beach maintains 10 stone built chalets available and each of them have thatch roofs to give you the feel of traditional African hut, but step into them, and you will be surprised by the charm of the spacious rooms. The décor is essentially regal with Swahili style from a copper chest to an oversized comfy Zanzibar bed with contrasting soft furnishings and mosquito nets. The cottages accommodate 2 adults each. If you are travelling as a family, an extra third bed can be set up for the child. All the cottages are air-conditioned and have satellite TVs.
