Serian’s Serengeti is a mobile camp, and the camps movement is governed by the wildebeest migration. From mid-June to mid-November, the mobile camp along with 1.6 million gnus, are situated in the far north of the Serengeti plains. The beauty of Northern Serengeti is it is the heart of the crossings, and in this respect, they are all about location. The camp is set a mere 2 kilometers from the Mara River, within minutes of the major crossing points.

Serian’s Serengeti North strikes the perfect balance between colonial camping style, and elegant accents of comfort – home away from home, in the form of 6 spacious, lavish Meru tents. Each is complemented by tasteful décor with wrought iron beds, velvet sofas and colorful rugs that lends a touch of sumptuousness to the interiors. The en suite bathrooms include a bucket shower and a flushing toilet – classic safari simplicity with a nod to life’s little comforts. A communal lounge with antique sofas and an elegant lit mess tent is where guests will gather in the evenings.

The cornerstone of a safari experience at Serian is that each group has their own open-top safari vehicle, and their own dedicated guide and spotter. The freedom this grants guests is key to getting the most out of your stay: go where the day takes you, be it a full day out with a picnic in the wilderness, or a lazy siesta back in camp before that ice-cold sundowner. Serian guides have an intimate familiarity with the landscape, and will translate and render it until you see it through their eyes.

Situated 45 kilometers south of Wolwedans and hugged by massive granite rocks, Boulders Safari Camp is the most remote of the Wolwedans Collection. Sleeping a maximum of ten guests in five spacious tents, Boulders is undoubtedly the most exclusive camp at Wolwedans. This tiny camp is as far off the beaten track, as it can get.

The main area consists of a dining and lounge tent, a breakfast deck, library, pool and an open fireplace. Sundowners can be enjoyed from the top of a mountainous rock plateau close by, delivering epic impressions of the vast beauty of the surroundings.

From Boulders Safari Camp you will explore the deep south of NamibRand Nature Reserve. Guided scenic drives, two to three hour walking safaris treading along the ancient hunting grounds of the bushmen and eBiking will happily fill your days.
