Set in Ruhengeri, Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel is conveniently located near the entrance of Volcanoes National Park. The hotel is roughly a three hour drive from Kigali, an hour from the Uganda border and a 40 minute drive from the start of the gorilla tracking activities in Parc National des Volcans. The region is a series of beautiful emerald green peaks and lush undergrowth that visitors trek through to find the small family groups of mountain gorillas.

This boutique hotel consists of 11 spacious air-conditioned guest rooms and two larger cottages. Other amenities include a lush garden with hammocks ideal for relaxing after you trek. It also has a lovely pool surround by a wooden deck and a spa with a massage hut, a sauna and steam room for your relaxation needs. At Five Volcanoes enjoy the nutritious, well-presented cuisine from the main communal dining room which offers a stunning panoramic view of the Rwenzori Mountains. The friendly and attentive staff makes you feel at home.

The main attraction of Five Volcanoes is its proximity to the Virungas and the Parc National des Volcans where clients trek on foot to see the magnificent Mountain Gorilla - perhaps one of the most dramatic, thrilling and poignant wildlife experiences possible. There are, however, a myriad of other excursions on offer to our clients. These include treks to see the fascinating Golden Monkeys, which are found in the bamboo forests on the slopes of the Virunga Mountains. They provide an entertaining viewing as they leap from tree to tree and frolic in the open clearings of the forest.

Parker Cottage Bed and Breakfast Cape Town is a little different from the usual hotel or guesthouse. Rather than being just a conventional place to sleep, Parker Cottage offers a very much unplugged urban retreat right in the creative heart of Cape Town; harmoniously blending simplicity, comfort, world-class service and an active concern for society and the environment.

Parker Cottage Bed and Breakfast in the Cape Town City Bowl is, in fact, two magnificent Victorian houses. The houses are now joined to form one grand guesthouse. Parker Cottage is named after a rather enigmatic and multi-faceted figure, Scottish architect John Parker. He was active in civic and church affairs. He became mayor of Cape Town in 1913 and was a founder member of the South African Society of Architects and the Cape Institute of Architects. He designed many of Cape Town’s landmark buildings, particularly schools.

Park Cottage offer a huge five course breakfast, the like of which isn’t available anywhere else in Cape Town, even at some much more expensive establishments. All cooked food is made to order, from fresh, local ingredients. They aim to source 90% of all our ingredients from less than 200km away from the table where you are served.
